1. Acceptance

By creating an account, browsing events, or purchasing tickets through EventBricks (the "Service"), you ("you", "buyer", "user") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You represent that you are at least 18 years of age or have the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Accounts

You may browse public event listings or purchase tickets as a guest without creating an account. A verified account is required to host events, view your order history, manage ticket transfers, or access attendee and organizer dashboards. If you check out as a guest, the email address you provide at checkout is used to deliver your tickets and to process any future refund requests. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@eventbricks.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

EventBricks may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, that we reasonably suspect of fraud, or that have been inactive for an extended period. We may also require email verification, identity verification (KYC), or additional information from organizers as a condition of continued service.

3. Purchasing tickets

Tickets are sold by event organizers and processed through EventBricks. By completing a purchase you agree to pay all amounts shown at checkout, including ticket price, applicable taxes, service fees, and facility charges. All transactions are processed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise indicated.

EventBricks is the agent of the event organizer for ticket sales. Each ticket entitles the holder to attend the event subject to the organizer's terms (capacity, age restriction, dress code, security checks, prohibited items, etc.). EventBricks does not guarantee the quality, safety, or content of any event.

Ticket holders may transfer their tickets to any other person using the in-app transfer flow. The recipient will receive an email invitation and has 7 days to accept before the transfer expires. Reselling, scalping, or commercial resale outside of EventBricks is prohibited and may result in ticket cancellation.

4. Refunds & cancellations

All ticket sales are final by default. Once you complete a purchase your ticket is non-refundable unless one of the situations below applies. By checking out you acknowledge this policy.

You are entitled to a full refund (ticket price + service fees + facility charges + applicable taxes) in these situations:

  • Event cancelled by the organizer — the EventBricks team will initiate a full refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of the cancellation notice. No action is needed on your part, though you may also submit a request through My Orders to track progress.
  • Event postponed — your ticket stays valid for the new date. If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the postponement announcement.
  • Material change to the event — you may request a full refund if: the date shifts by more than 24 hours, the start time changes by more than 4 hours, the venue changes, the event format changes significantly, or the headlining performer is removed.
  • Platform error — if a technical fault on EventBricks caused a double charge or an incorrect order, contact support for a full refund. There is no time limit for verified platform errors.

A partial refund (ticket price + applicable taxes; service and facility fees are retained) may be available if:

  • The organizer enabled a refund window — some organizers allow buyer-initiated refunds up to a set number of hours before the event starts. If this applies, the exact deadline is shown on the checkout page and on your order confirmation. The base ticket price and any applicable taxes are refunded; service fees and facility charges are retained to cover platform costs.

No refund is available if:

  • No refund window was shown at checkout and none of the situations above apply.
  • You request a refund after the organizer's posted deadline has passed.
  • Your request shows signs of abuse or policy violation.
  • Your order is the subject of an open or contested chargeback with your card issuer (see §8). You must resolve the chargeback first or withdraw it before a platform refund can be processed.

How the review process works: To request a refund, visit My Orders and click Request Refund on the relevant order. Guest buyers can use the refund request form with their email and order number. Requests go first to the event organizer for review (typically within 2 business days), then to the EventBricks team for final approval and processing. You will receive an email at each stage. Refunds are returned to your original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days of approval, depending on your bank.

5. Organizers

Users approved to host events ("organizers") may publish events through EventBricks subject to platform review. Organizers represent and warrant that they:

  • Have the right to host the event at the venue listed.
  • Will deliver the event substantially as advertised.
  • Will accurately represent ticket types, capacity, age restrictions, and any restrictions or required ID.
  • Will comply with all applicable laws including consumer protection, advertising, and tax laws.

Organizers are responsible for setting their own refund policy, communicating with attendees, honoring all sold tickets, and remitting any applicable taxes. EventBricks credits ticket sale proceeds (net of fees, refunds, and any chargebacks) into the organizer's payout balance. Payouts are batched and disbursed manually by the EventBricks team to the organizer's verified payout method; they are not transferred automatically. Organizers can view their available balance, pending amounts, and full payout history in the organizer dashboard.

6. Fees

EventBricks charges a service fee to buyers, displayed transparently at checkout. As of the effective date of these terms, the standard fee is $1.49 per ticket plus 3.5% of the discounted ticket subtotal, with a $0.00 facility charge per order. Current fee values are visible on every checkout summary and may be updated by EventBricks administrators; the fee in effect at the time of purchase governs that order.

Promo codes are applied to the ticket subtotal before service fees are calculated.

Some organizers may choose to absorb platform fees themselves rather than pass them on to buyers. When this option is active, no service or facility fee line item will appear at checkout and buyers pay only the ticket price. The organizer's payout is reduced accordingly to cover platform costs.

7. Prohibited use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate the rights of others.
  • Submit fraudulent payment information or use stolen payment instruments.
  • Attempt to bypass ticket limits, scrape inventory, or use automated tools to purchase tickets.
  • Resell tickets above face value where prohibited by applicable law.
  • Impersonate another person or organization.
  • Reverse engineer, exploit security flaws, or interfere with the Service's operation.
  • Upload malicious content, spam other users, or harass attendees or organizers.

8. Disputes & chargebacks

If you have a problem with a ticket or event, contact our support team first via the Help Center. We will mediate between you and the organizer in good faith. If a chargeback is filed with your card issuer, EventBricks will automatically submit documentary evidence to Stripe when the dispute is factually contestable — for example, if the event has already taken place, your ticket was scanned at the gate, or the claim is a duplicate. All disputes are reviewed by our team regardless of whether evidence is auto-submitted. Initiating a chargeback before contacting us may delay resolution and result in account suspension while the dispute is investigated.

You agree that any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be settled by binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules, and that you waive your right to participate in a class action against EventBricks.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EventBricks is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total cumulative liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid EventBricks in the twelve months preceding the claim. We do not warrant the conduct of organizers or other users, the safety of any event, or the accuracy of any information posted by third parties.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold EventBricks, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or third-party right.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to your registered address and posted at the top of this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any litigation that is not subject to mandatory arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY], [STATE].
